In Qualifier 1 Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets and managed to reach their fourth IPL Final .
KKR have been immaculate this year, winning against all the teams and losing only three games at the league stage .
They also sailed through the Qualifier1 against one of the most dangerous batting lineup and secured spot for the final.
Pattern of Playoffs
The first phase of the IPL will conclude when all teams have played their league matches. The teams who secured top two spots will play against each other in Qualifier 1 and the winner of this match directly sails to the final .In the Qualifier 1 KKR beat SRH by 8 wickets to reach their fourth IPL final in Chennai.
In the Eliminator match which is played between 3 and 4 placed team is a knockout match. The loser of the match will be out of the tournament ,while the winner of this match will goes to Qualifier 2.Rajasthan Royals beat RCB by 4 wickets to reach the Qualifier 2 against the Sunrisers.
Sunrisers, since they lost Qualifier 1 have qualified for Qualifier 2 and they will play Rajasthan. Qualifier 2 will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai . It will be played on Friday, May 24. Sunrisers lost Qualifier 1 against KKR ,so they will have reach Qualifier 2.
IPL 2024 Final
KKR will play their fourth final on Sunday. Kolkata has reached Chennai on Wednesday. Thus, Kolkata are very experienced in playing the final and winning it away from home . It could be a re-match of Qualifier 1, but only if Hyderabad manages to win Qualifier 2. Now KKR will watch whom they will have to play the Final ,Perhaps Kolkata has beat both Rajasthan and Hyderabad in previous matches and also beat SRH in Qualifier 1.
